Game for Couples: Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find a list of frequently asked questions by users of the Game for Couples app. Take the time to read them through, since you’ll likely find the solution to your problem on this page. 

    General Questions

  • Do you often add new content?

    Yep! With every update, new truth and dare challenges are added—even if they haven’t been included in announcements in the store. But if you want even more dares, feel free to send us your ideas on our customer support!

  • Is the game also available for gay couples?

    Yes! We place great importance on inclusivity and respect for everyone’s choices. That’s why Couple Game offers several modes: gay, lesbian, and heterosexual, to cater to various love orientations. Also, we are working on integrating gender-neutral options when necessary!

    We want each user to feel comfortable and fully enjoy their experience with our application. For this, we have set up a preference questionnaire accessible in the settings. It allows you to personalize your experience by choosing the themes that best match your desires and comfort.

    Finally, we understand that each couple is unique and that some might want to add their own personal touch to our challenges. That’s why we’ve included the feature of customized challenges. This option gives you the freedom to write your own challenges, thus making your gaming experience even more personal and exciting!

  • Can I play online or remotely?

    The Game for Couples app is not yet available for remote or online playing. The concept of the game is to play with your partner in person. However, playing remotely is an option that might be part of our upcoming updates. Keep an eye out for it. ;-)

  • I changed my phone and no longer have access to my old purchases. What do I do?

    If your phone has the same operating system as your previous one (iOS or Android), all you need to do is click on the “Restore My Purchases” button and you’ll find all your content there.
    If this does not work, check to make sure that you are using the same Apple or Google username as you did during your purchase.
    If you’ve changed your operating system, please contact us and we will do our best to help you.


    No, this is not normal! This problem can happen from time to time, though it is very rare. There are two solutions:
    1. You can uninstall and reinstall the app on your phone (and don’t worry, you’ll be able to recover all your levels if you purchased any).
    2. You can clear the cache on your phone.

    If the problem persists, please let us know so we can do our best to help you out.

  • Why do I have to pay to access the higher levels?

    We’re a team of 9 people working full-time on developing this app in addition to some other pretty cool games. When you pay for the higher levels, you are keeping our company afloat and helping pay for our team’s salary so we can continue to improve our games and provide you with fun entertainment.


    First off, don’t forget that you and your partner have to be in the same room in order to play this game. Got it? Good. Now you can launch the app! If you don’t have it yet, download Game for Couples app here.
    Now that everything is in order here’s what you need to do:

    1) Enter the first name of each player

    2) Press “Start the game.” 

    3) Once you’ve selected the level you would like to play, press “GO.”
4) Spin the wheel.
5) The wheel will select a player, and this player must choose between “Truth” or “Dare.” 

    6) Then the player will have to respond to the question or do the dare. 

    7) Spin the wheel again and it’s on to round two!

    Billing Issues 

    If you’d like to cancel your subscription and not to be billed again, or for any billing questions including refunds on a case-by-case basis, please contact our billing partner, CCBill via phone 1.888.596.9279, or email at [email protected].

    Complaints : 

    If you would like to file a complaint, please contact our company complaints departement via ou support desk: HelpShift. All complaints will be reviewed and adressed within 7 business days via email reply to your complaint. We will, in accordance with the Terms and conditions decide the validity of the complaint. After the decision has been made, the user may appeal the decision within 48 hours. When the final decision is made, according to the decision itself, any infringing, illegal, abusive or otherwise inappropriate content will be removed.


    If you have been depicted in any content and would like to appeal removal of such content, please notify us by HelpShift. If there should be disagreement regarding an appeal, we will allow the disagreement to be resolved by a neutral party.


  • I’ve already purchased the game, but the app is asking me to pay again… Is this normal?

    This might happen in the following cases:
    • When you haven’t used the app in a very long time
    • If you deleted and reinstalled the app
    • If you changed your phone
    • If your phone just underwent an update

    To fix the problem, just press the button “Restore my purchases.” Find what you are looking for by clicking on the paid access levels found at the bottom of the screen. If the button doesn’t work, please contact us on our customer support and we will find a solution together.

  • Is my purchase a subscription? How do I cancel it?

    To find out whether your purchase is a subscription or a one-time purchase, you can refer to the information specified next to the purchase price:

    • If it is a subscription, the monthly price will then be specified, example: $3.99 / month
    • Whereas if it is a single purchase, it will be specified for example: $3.99 Single payment

    To manage your subscription, go to the “Payment and subscription” tab of the Google Play Store. And in the Settings app / your name / Subscriptions, on iOS.

  • What conditions need to be fulfilled if I want to be reimbursed?

    We are only able to reimburse purchases for the following reasons:
    • The app keeps crashing or runs abnormally slow.
    • The dares do not show up on the screen.
    • A technical error is preventing the app from functioning properly.
    We will, however, try to resolve whatever problem you are confronted with before going on to reimburse you.

  • How do I get rid of the dares and questions I no longer want to see?

    If you no longer want to use certain dares or questions, you can choose to hide them by clicking on the button “Rate the dare.”

  • Can I create my own dares?

    Yes, the app now allows you to create your own dares! You can create and even categorize your own dares by connecting via Google/Apple and saving them on your account.

  • How do I change the language on the app?

    If you’d like to change the language on your Games for Couples app, just press the three dots in the top left corner of the screen and choose your language from the list at the bottom left. The app is available in 14 different languages, so if you don’t currently find what you’re looking for, we are most likely working on its translation. Feel free to let us know if there is a language you’d like for us to add—we will include it in the app once we’ve had enough people ask.
